We are seeking a skilled and passionate Graphics Programmer to join our team at Naughty Dog. As a Graphics Programmer, you will play a key role in the development and enhancement of our cutting-edge rendering engine and asset pipeline. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new and existing rendering techniques to achieve stunning, industry-defining visuals
  • Collaborate with artists and technical artists to conceptualize and implement new features, as well as improve asset creation and rendering workflows
  • Maintain and troubleshoot existing rendering engine features to ensure stability and performance
  • Profile and optimize the rendering engine to achieve better performance and efficient memory usage
  • Stay current with advancements in the rendering field and incorporate relevant technologies and techniques into the engine

Requirements & Skills:

  • At least 3 years of experience working in the video game industry
  • Minimum of 1 shipped AAA game, demonstrating experience in rendering engine development
  • B.S. in Computer Science and/or Mathematics or equivalent work experience
  • Experience implementing rendering features
  • Excellent 3D math skills with an emphasis on 3D math
  • Strong knowledge of C and C++ programming languages
  • Thorough understanding of current GPU architectures AMD GCN/RDNA
  • Experience with DirectX12, Vulkan or other modern graphics or compute APIs
  • Experience with HLSL/GLSL or other equivalent shader languages
  • Console or PC programming experience
  • Passion for playing and developing exceptional games

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
